I’m an experienced writer and editor with a passion for old-fashioned storytelling, culture, and social justice. I received my BA in English from Mills College, where I focused on creative nonfiction, documentary work, and women’s studies. I have a keen sense of consistency and flow in writing, and can make any piece smooth and accessible with complete loyalty to the writer’s voice. My writing has appeared in Ms. Magazine, The San Francisco Chronicle, and the Mills Quarterly.

My communications work has prepared me to build coalitions, craft press releases, build and maintain relationships with media, develop and implement strategy, and always look at the bigger picture. With clarity, urgency, and care, real change is possible. (And even when it’s not, I believe we should try nonetheless.)
